Robert “Bob” Daniel Sims, 51, of Orange, Texas, passed away on July 8, 2025, at home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Dr. Johnny Woodard. Private family burial will be held at Weeks Chapel Cemetery in Jasper.
Visitation will begin prior to the service at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Bellaire, Texas, on February 26, 1974, he was the son of John Robert Sims and Judy Dianne Sims (Robinson). Bob was a dedicated Engineering Tech at LJA Inc. and proudly served in the United States Army Infantry as a mortar specialist. He graduated from Lamar in Beaumont with an associate’s degree. Bob was known for his hardworking nature, as he always stayed busy. He had a passion for playing music, the guitar, working out, and practicing martial arts. He was also a valued member of Bethel Baptist Church in West Orange. Bob will be remembered for his contributions and the joy he brought to the lives of those around him.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Brad David Sims.
He is survived by his parents, Reverend John and Dianne Sims; aunt, Elizabeth Ann Black and husband Curtis Paul Black; numerous other loving family, friends, and co-workers.
