Robert Jeffrey Mann
September 14, 1962 - January 8, 2024

Robert (Bob, Bobby) was survived by his daughter, Rachel Green her husband Adam, his beloved Grandson, Braylon and Sister, Maryann Hrncir. Along with his Niece Mandhi Scott, her husband Kyle, and their children Elijah and Trinity. Also, his church family, including his best friends, Bobby, Billy, David and Roland, along with Pastor Keith who led his congregation at First Baptist Church of Bridge City.

Having been born in Joliet, Illinois and growing up in Texas, how can we tell the story of such a magnificent special man who touched so many lives as he lived the life of a Godly man. He suffered, so much, without a complaint. This is important to say to tell his story. Not many people realized he suffered from debilitating diabetes, five strokes, two open heart surgeries having suffered 4 heart attacks, intestinal issues that led to several surgeries, and the list goes on, including amputations. Yet this man lived in the grace of love with God’s heavenly guidance, sharing his stories of Jesus and joy.

Bob never met a stranger, and always asked his friend, ‘Who do you think we will meet today that we can bring God to?” His wit was always part of any conversation, and his love for others was abundantly noticeable. Bob lived in a very desperate way. With little means and the inability to work, due to his handicaps, he continued to do what he could to provide for others.

The love he had for his daughter was beyond the universes measure and his grandson who was the stars that littered that space. Bob never missed an opportunity to tell a story so he could talk about them, even if he just met you. Then there was his sister. If he had a story to tell about their relationship, it would be a love story. They were inseparable, even though they were separated by over 200 miles, the phones rang several times a day. There was at least a daily text or two, and many, many trips back a forth. They were twins born three years apart.

The three best friends of his made a quartet of love, happiness, and joy, sprinkled with mischief and laughter! Rarely did you see them without each other. Their love for each other was so deep and abundant, others were moved to search for a relationship as special for themselves.

For all those who missed the opportunity to meet such a loving, Godly man, stop any of us and strike up a conversation. You’ll want a cup of coffee and sit down, this will take a while, but we would love the chance to tell a story you will cherish forever. Bob truly lived a beautiful example of humanity, full of humility and grace in the most loving and giving way. Once you hear the story, you will wish you could have met him. Yes, he was that wonderful!!!
