Robert Calvin Dickerson, affectionately known as "Bob," passed away on December 9, 2025, in Beaumont, Texas, at the age of 81. Born on January 28, 1944, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Bob lived a life marked by commitment to his family, his country, and his passions.
Bob honorably served his nation as a Vietnam Veteran and retired from the United States Marine Corps. His courage and dedication were recognized when he received the Purple Heart with Cluster, a testament to his bravery during his service. Throughout his life, Bob exemplified the values of duty, honor, and resilience, which he carried into every aspect of his life.
Bob smiled, laughed and joked everyday of his life. He loved to laugh. He loved spending time with friends and family and lived to help others and bring joy into their lives. He will be remembered for his warm smile, his generous spirit, and the profound impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him.
Bob was a beloved father and grandfather, leaving behind his two sons, Clifford Dickerson and his wife Threasa, and John Dickerson and his wife Kristina. He was a proud grandfather to Alexis Dickerson, Graycin Dickerson, Matthew Dickerson, and Christina Carden, and cherished the many great-grandchildren who filled his life with joy and laughter.
Bob was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Michie Dickerson, and his parents, Calvin Dickerson and Julia Dickerson, whose love and guidance shaped the man he became.
