Quincy Rex Procell, 80, of Orange, Texas, passed away on May 8, 2025, at his home surrounded by loved ones.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor Freddie Anderson of 9th and Elm Church of Christ.

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Louisiana, on November 2, 1944, he was the son of Sam Procell and Pearl (Roberts) Procell. Quincy was self-employed as a skilled machinist and millwright, earning a reputation for his craftsmanship and dedication. He was one of the proprietors of Procell Brothers Machine Shop, a venture that not only showcased his talents but also became a gathering place for those in the local community. In his professional life, Quincy exemplified the qualities of leadership and service, having served as the former president of the Local Union. Beyond his career, Quincy was a man of great warmth and spirit. He had a remarkable ability to connect with people, never meeting a stranger. His love for conversation brought joy to many, and his engaging personality made him a cherished friend to countless individuals. An avid auto racer, Quincy’s passion for building race engines further displayed his inventive nature and commitment to his craft. Quincy was also a dedicated member of the 9th and Elm Church of Christ, where his faith guided him throughout his life. Quincy’s legacy continues through the memories shared by those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered not only for his professional expertise but also for the kindness, laughter, and friendship he offered to so many.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Pearl Procell; his brothers, Stanley Procell, and Kirby Procell; and his sister, Sally Procell.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Nancy Procell; his brothers, Mark Procell, and Bill Procell and wife, Ann; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
