Pauline “Polly” Mazzola Albright, 93, of Orange, Texas, passed away on February 12, 2024, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 16, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Father Antony Paulose. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m., with a Rosary at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 16, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange.

Born in Orange, Texas, on December 30, 1930, she was the daughter of Ben Mazzola and Anna Lucia Mazzola. Throughout her life, Polly possessed an unwavering commitment to her faith and held a profound love for her family. She was a lifetime member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Orange. Her devotion to God was evident in every aspect of her being, serving as a guiding light even in the darkest moments. Polly’s love for her family knew no limits; she cherished each moment spent with them and radiated warmth that made everyone feel truly valued and appreciated. She attended St. Mary Catholic School and graduated from Stark High School in 1948. She also attended Lamar College in Beaumont, Texas.

Polly had an incredible ability to connect with others through conversation. Her ability to listen compassionately and offer words of wisdom endeared her to many. Polly found joy in crocheting beautiful keepsakes for her children, grandchildren and loved ones. She also delighted in watching Hallmark movies, The Golden Girls, and game shows.

Polly was a proud member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, where she forged lasting friendships. Additionally, she was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Anna Mazzola; her husband, Bunn DeWitt “B.D.” Albright, Jr.; and her siblings, Bessie Claybar, Johnny Mazzola, Annie Blanda, Mike Mazzola, Benny Mazzola, Frances Bethard, Joseph Mazzola, Rosalie Guzzardi, Antoinette Herman, Dorothy Gipson, Alfred Louis Mazzola, and Genevieve Jeanis; and her dear friends Macy and Jim Edgerton, Sr.

She is survived by her daughters, Becky Washburn and husband, Michael of Orange, DeAnn Lumpkin and husband, Scott of Orange, and Anna Landry and husband, Brian of Lafayette, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Byron Lumpkin, Meagan Washburn, Staci McFarlane and husband, Luke, Christopher Washburn and wife, Jerica, Blake Landry and wife, Erin, Brittany Uribe and husband, Adrian, and Brad Landry and wife, Jillian; her great-grandchildren, Keylie, Connor, and Case Washburn, Gabriel, Carmen, and Luca Uribe, Camilla, who is due to arrive in May, Noah and Jonah McFarlane, and Brinlee, Kinsley, Ella, and Sophia Landry; her brother-in-law, Curtis Jeanis.

Serving as pallbearers will be Byron Lumpkin, Christopher Washburn, Blake Landry, Brad Landry, Luke McFarlane, and Adrian Uribe. Honorary pallbearers are Gilbert Mazzola, Michael Mazzola, Ambrose Claybar, and Jim Edgerton.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Harbor Hospice and Flo Calais for their wonderful care and support, as well as Anna Traudt and Anna Mathews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or to St. Mary Catholic School.
Polly Mazzola Albright's vibrant presence will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. Her strong faith, unwavering love for her family, and dedication to serving others will forever be etched in our hearts. May we remember her as a beacon of strength and inspiration, carrying forth her legacy with love, compassion, and resilience.
As we bid farewell to an extraordinary woman who graced our lives, may we find solace in knowing that Polly has now found eternal peace in the embrace of her beloved God.
