Patsy Jane Owers, 78, of Orange, Texas, passed away on October 17, 2025, in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Bell. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn in Orange.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on February 8, 1947, she was the daughter of Marshall Hardin and Louise Fontenot Hardin. Patsy devoted her life to caring for others, a passion that she pursued throughout her career as a nurse and manager for Advantage Home Care. Her commitment to nursing went beyond her profession; it was her life’s calling, and she approached her role with kindness and compassion. Patsy was often described as an angel on Earth, a testament to her gentle spirit and the love she shared with those around her. She had an extraordinary ability to make others feel valued and appreciated, always striving to bring joy and happiness to their lives. Her unwavering support and insightful advice made her a trusted friend to many. Patsy was also known for her many hobbies and interests. She found joy in watching the hummingbirds flit about, a simple pleasure that brought her happiness. Patsy was also a gifted cook, well-known for her delicious divinity, gumbo, and orange slice cake, which delighted family and friends alike. Patsy’s love for helping others extended beyond her career and into her community. She volunteered with the Julie Rogers Gift of Life Program, further demonstrating her commitment to making a difference in the lives of those around her. Her selflessness and dedication to serving others will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warm smile and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to share in her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Louise Hardin; and her loving husband, Roy Owers.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Owers; her brothers, Terry Lee Hardin, and Billy Ray Hardin and wife, Michelle; her sister-in-law, Vicki Mowery and husband, Paul; her lifelong best friend, Gloria Moore; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
