Born on December 31,1931 in Breezy Hill outside of Alexandria, LA, she was the daughter of Clarence and Vera Wroten. After moving to the Golden Triangle area, she met and married the love of her life, Eddie Fusilier, and they were married for 46 years until his death. They made their home in Bridge City where they raised their children and attended First Baptist Church Bridge City. Together, they laid the foundation for their children to know Christ. Ms. Norma, as she was called by so many throughout her years, was a woman you would not forget. Her faith, her family and her friends were priorities in her life. She began each morning with prayer, a cup of coffee and reading her Bible. Serving in her church, First Baptist Church Orangefield, for many years was counted as a blessing to Ms. Norma. She went on many mission trips to Mexico and loved bringing dishes for any gathering or delivering a meal to families suffering a loss. After her husband's passing, she traveled on tour busses and saw so much of this country. She loved sharing her adventures in detail with everyone. Her greatest joy was having her family gathered in her home and around her table. She prepared Sunday dinner every week and her family knew to be there. She knew how to keep her family close and her cooking and the joy it brought her made it a sure thing. All her family held hands in a circle as she gave thanks, whether there were 10 or 40 gathered together. She leaves that precious memory with all of us. Whether in the role of Ms. Norma, Momma, Mawmaw or Grandmaw, she was a strong, wise, Godly woman of courage, compassion and service. She was known for her hugs, and she loved Sundays so she could give and receive as many as she could before leaving. She made everyone feel like they got the best one. Oh, but when she was hugging her grandchildren ...it was indescribably special! She loved so deeply.

She is preceded in death by her husband Eddie Fusilier, parents Clarence and Vera, brothers James and Rudy Wroten, sisters Jenny Singleton and Connie Richard.

She is survived by her five children, Barbara Garza, Brenda Oliver (Jeff), Buddy Fusilier, David Fusilier (Debbie) and Jeannie Barnes (Jack). She is also survived by brother, Rodney Wroten, along with 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild with another soon to join the family.

Serving as pallbearers will be Buddy Fusilier, David Fusilier, Frank Garza, David Fusilier, Jr., Derek Fusilier, and Easton Gibbens.
