M.P. ?Pep? Martin, 80, of Bridge City, died, Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at his residence.
A funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend David Green of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Bridge City. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
A visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 p.m., Friday, August 3, 2007 at the Funeral Home.
Mr. Martin was born October 20, 1926 in Raceland, Louisiana, to Melodia Autin and Joachim Martin. Mr. Martin was a retired chief engineer at Moran Towing and was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II. He also liked to fish and was a fan of The Dallas Cowboys.
Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Frances, three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda McCaleb and Paula B. Martin both of Bridge City. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Dana, Drewlynn, David, and Daniel, 14 Great-Grandchildren, one Great-Great-Grandchild, his brother, Clarence Martin and wife Ester of New Orleans, LA., and his sister Shirley Folse of Raceland, LA.
