Milton Doyle Vallery, 66, a longtime resident of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 10, 2023.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Brother David Millner, Brother Randy Satterfield, and Brother Kenneth Budwine. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 15, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Long Beach, California, on February 26, 1957, he was the son of John Dalton Vallery and Cecilia Joan Cummings Moore. Milton worked for many years as a supervisor/foreman for North Star Steel and later, Bechtel. During his time as a supervisor, he would mentor many of the men he worked with. Through his mentoring, Milton would develop many great relationships with his co-workers. He was a member of The Truth and had a faithful devotion to God. In his spare time, Milton enjoyed many hobbies. He loved nature and many of his favorite hobbies brought him outdoors, such as hunting, fishing, gardening, football, travelling, or sometimes just sitting around a fire. Milton also enjoyed collecting antiques, creating flower arrangements on pieces of driftwood, and repairing old clocks. Most of all, Milton loved being with his family. He was the most devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Dalton Vallery and Cecilia Joan Cummings Moore; his step-father, Travis Moore; his step-brother, Kyle Moore; his brothers, Daniel Vallery and Patrick Vallery; his sister, Kim Vallery; his beloved father-in-law, David Trumble; and his sister-in-law, Debbie Vallery.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Tammie Vallery; his son, John David Vallery and wife, Kari; his daughter, Wendee Vallery-Shaw and husband, Stephen; his grandchildren, Taylor Vallery, Kristopher Dalton Vallery, Trey Tripp, and Serenitee Smith; his brothers, John Randall Vallery and wife, Annette, and Ronald Jason Vallery and wife, Dee; his sister, Cynthia Royer; his uncle, Tommy E. Cummings; his mother-in-law, Wanda Trumble; and many other loving family members and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Trey Tripp, Kristopher Dalton Vallery, Antonio Soto, Ty Hudelson, Carlos Moreno, and C.A. Welch. Honorary pallbearers are John Vallery, Taylor Vallery, Serenitee Smith, and Wendee Vallery.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Debbie Castle and family for all the love and care they provide.
