Mary lived a rich and meaningful life, devoted to her son and grandchildren. Nothing brought her more joy than picking up her two grandsons from school, taking them for a special treat at McDonald’s or out for donuts in the morning. Those simple moments meant the world to her.
She loved listening to the music of Elvis Presley and Fats Domino. If you asked her about the old days, Mary could share stories about nearly everyone in Orange and the lively nights spent dancing at the Big Oak Dance Hall.
Mary was a proud member of the Future Nurses of America Program. She worked at the Orange County Courthouse in the Microfiche Department as a film developer. In her twenties, she was employed by All State Studios as a receptionist. Wherever she went, Mary had a gift for making friends and leaving a lasting impression on those she met.
Mary was the middle daughter of Joseph Trahan and Hazel Stelly Trahan. She cherished her two sisters and often shared fond memories of their childhood in Orange, Texas. With excitement in her voice, she would recall how much they looked forward to weekends spent visiting their grandmother in Abbeville, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Hazel Trahan, and her sister, Jane Richard and nephew Tony Plant.
Mary is survived by her beloved son, Reece, and his wife, Rebecca; her two grandsons, Titus Culver and Dax Kitchens; as well as three nephews and two nieces from the Orange area.
