Margie Lee Schultz
Margie Lee Schultz, 90, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 24, 2023, in her home surrounded by her loved ones.
A visitation will be held Saturday September 30, 2023, from 9-11am at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, TX. Graveside service and burial will immediately follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Pastor Randy Branch.
Born in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, on May 11, 1933, Margie was the daughter of Raymond Hubert Grierson and Jennie Victoria Goode Grierson. Mom was strong in her faith and while unable to attend church in person, she enjoyed many online services with David Jeremiah being her favorite. She loved her family and her face would light up when one of her many grandchildren or great grandchildren would enter the room; she loved them all dearly. Mom’s life and heart was filled with love, never a bad word was spoken about anyone or anything. She instilled these values in her three boys, they were her pride and joy. Margie cherished her time in her Sorority (Beta Sigma Phi) with her beloved lifelong friend Nell Futch. She had a deep love of art and painted many pictures with her favorite being the Lord’s Supper. With a love for her community, she spent many years working as the athletic director’s secretary at WOCISD. Mom then spent ten years in Las Vegas with her son Keith and her Vegas family. While there mom found the love of her life, Bernard Schultz, Bernie was a fine man. They married and truly enjoyed life together until his passing. With Bernie’s passing and Keith’s retirement Mom moved back home to Texas and lived a full life. She was a loving and compassionate person that many could learn from. She will truly be missed.
We would like to extend our thanks to Compassion Hospice, a wonderful group of professionals that went above and beyond to make this process as easy as possible. Special thanks to Elaine, Suzanne, and Sherry.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Jennie Grierson; loving husband, Bernie Schultz; son, Keith Parish, brother Raymond Grierson and Sisters Jimmie Stratton and Alma Hebert.
