Marica Edith Harris, 86, of Orange, Texas, passed away on June 13, 2025, in Beaumont.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Matinburg Cemetery in Pittsburg, Texas.

Born in Horatio, Arkansas, on December 31, 1938, she was the daughter of Sherman Charles James and Verdie Dove Taylor James. Marcia was known for her sweetness and for being a person who always saw the best in others. Her remarkable spirit and unwavering kindness touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Throughout her life, she embodied love and compassion, never uttering a harsh word. Her devotion to her family was unparalleled; she cherished every moment spent with them and took great pride in her role as a loving wife and a devoted mother. A woman of deep faith, Marcia raised her children in a Christian home, instilling values of kindness and integrity. Her beliefs were the foundation of her life, guiding her actions and interactions with those around her. In addition to her commitment to her family and her faith, Marcia had a special fondness for her dogs, finding great joy in their companionship. As we remember Marcia, we celebrate her legacy of love and faith, which will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those she leaves behind.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Harris; her parents, Sherman and Verdie James; her brother, Michael James; and her great-grandson, Ian Finto.

She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Falgout and husband, Rudy, Rebecca Blissett and husband, Mark, and Sherri Gonzales and husband, Rocky; her grandchildren, Nichole and David Finto, Jennifer and Sam Blissett, Dane and Shari Book, Justin Rizzari, Rocky Gonzales, Jr., Lauren Blissett, Hunter Gonzales, and Marcus Blissett; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rocky Gonzales, Mark Blissett, Rudy Falgout, Dane Book, Justin Rizzari, Hunter Gonzales, and Marcus Blissett. Honorary pallbearers are Rocky Gonzales, Jr. and Ian Finto.
