Lillie Mae LeBlanc Henderson, 91, passed away on December 16, 2025, in Austin, Texas.
Visitation will be at 1pm on Monday, January 5th, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, followed by funeral services at 2pm. Reverend Lynn Ashcraft will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on July 4, 1934, she was the daughter of Olefide and Mae LeBlanc.
Lillie was valedictorian of the 1951 graduating class of Mauriceville High School and later graduated from Elliott’s Business School in Beaumont. She worked at First National Bank Orange until her son, Larry, was born. Later, she worked at Palais Royal as office manager for 27 years, and then for the Cerebral Palsy Foundation. Over the years she volunteered at hospitals in the cities where she lived, including Beaumont, Houston, Memphis, TN, Safety Harbor, FL, and Metairie, LA. After moving back to Orange, she volunteered at the Lutcher Theater until her move from Orange to Austin in 2019. Lillie was the best cook her family (and many of their friends) had ever experienced. She loved to use those skills when hosting parties. She enjoyed people and made friends easily.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Olefide and Mae LeBlanc, husband Charles Granville Henderson, son Larry Hudson, brother Ralph LeBlanc, sister and brother-in-law, Claudie and David Jones, nephews Billy Ralph LeBlanc, and Michael Jones. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Steve Hudson, and his wife Lori, granddaughter Jenna Hudson, grandsons Cade Hudson and Corey Hardegree and his wife Kristen, and niece Lisa Scott.
Serving as pallbearers include Cade Hudson, Corey Hardegree and Mark Urbis.
The services for Lillie will be livestreamed for the ones who are unable to make it. The livestream can be found under her obituary at https://www.claybarfuneralhome.com/
