Laurie Lynn Boyett, 70, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on January 2, 2026, in Beaumont.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, on September 2, 1955, she was the daughter of Marvin Alton Crawford and Betty Louise Sherman. Throughout her life, she exemplified hard work and resilience. She was known for her love for cooking, particularly breakfast. Laurie brought warmth to many mornings, often going all out to prepare delicious meals, sometimes even serving breakfast for dinner. Her home was a sanctuary filled with blooming plants and colorful flowers, reflecting her passion for gardening, brought her immense joy. In addition to her gardening pursuits, Laurie had a creative spark that shone through her love for crocheting. She found joy in crafting unique pieces that not only adorned her home but also served as gifts from the heart for family and friends alike. Travel brought her much happiness, with the beach being a cherished destination. However, her favorite place to visit was New Braunfels, where she enjoyed floating the rapids on the Guadalupe River. Laurie was always radiating joy and laughter, she had infectious sense of humor that brought so many people joy. In her younger years, Laurie was known for her impeccable style, always dressed to the nines. Laurie will be deeply missed by her loved ones and all whose lives she touched. Her legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will remain forever in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Alton Crawford and Betty Louise Sherman; and her sister, Randie Ann Delgado.

She is survived by her children, Jennifer Raymer and husband, Bruce, and Cody Boyett and wife, Tiffany; her grandchildren, Kaleb Bushnell and wife, Satyn, Shelby Whisenhunt and husband, Jon, Kenzi Jones and husband, Cody, Evan Bushnell, Leland Boyett, Jayden Boyett, Avia Boyett, and Kodi Boyett; her great-grandchildren, Hadley Bushnell, Spencer Bushnell, Charlotte Lominac, Oliver Bushnell, Riley Jones, Emersyn Bushnell, Harper Jones, and Jacklyn Whisenhunt; her siblings, Shirley Ledoux and husband, Michael, Sandra Lacap, and Karen Harrington White; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
