Kurt Stephen Wolford, 65, of Orange, Texas, passed away on June 19, 2025, in Houston.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Friday, June 27, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be family and friends.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, June 27, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on July 20, 1959, he was the son of Carroll Wolford and Myrtle Walker Wolford. Kurt made his mark as an invaluable member of the operations team at Valero, where he contributed his skills and knowledge with pride. Beyond his professional life, Kurt was a man of simple pleasures and profound kindness. He found great joy in working on his cars and trucks, often getting lost in the intricate details that brought him satisfaction. Fishing was another passion of his; he cherished the peaceful hours spent by the water, where he could connect with nature and reflect on life. Family gatherings were special to Kurt, emphasizing his love for spending time with those closest to him. These moments were filled with laughter, stories, and a sense of unity that he held dear. He embodied a spirit of generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, reflecting the core values he lived by. Kurt's life was characterized by his appreciation for the simple things, reminding those around him to embrace the beauty in everyday moments. He will be remembered for his warmth, his laughter, and the impact he had on the lives of many. He will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Myrtle Wolford; his sister, Sue Gardner; and his daughter-in-law, Haleigh Wolford.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Lynn Wolford; his sons, Kevin Wolford, and Seth Wolford; his stepson, Drew Prescott; his grandchild, Ella Wolford; his siblings, Carroll Wolford, Jr., Melissa Rojo, Mary Wolford, and Kenny Wolford; and numerous other loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
