Kenneth Walter Arnold, 85, of Woodville, Texas, passed away on March 16, 2026, at Harbor Hospice in Jasper, Texas.
A memorial service will be held on April 18, 2026. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at 1:00 p.m., at Enon Baptist Church in Chester, Texas.
Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, on October 3, 1940, he was the son of James Leroy Arnold and Katherine (Bossler) Arnold. Kenneth was a hardworking man, known for his skills as a machinist at Huntsman, where he worked for over 35 years before retiring. He served proudly in the United States Marine Corps, demonstrating dedication and commitment. After his military service and career, Kenneth became well known as a jack of all trades. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time taking care of his yard. He also took great joy in helping his wife with whatever she needed. Kenneth was a loving family man who was affectionately called "PawPaw" and "G-pa" by his grandchildren. He especially loved his girls and cherished the special moments he shared with them. Beyond his family and personal hobbies, Kenneth devoted much of his time to helping others. He volunteered with the Bridge City Ministerial Alliance, the local food bank, and Tyler County Hospital. Kenneth will be remembered for his skill, kindness, and the love he had for his family and community.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Katherine Arnold; wife, Lucy Arnold; son-in-law, Stephen Marsh; and brother, Leroy J. “Skipper” Arnold.
He is survived by his daughters, Kara Marsh and Kristin Bean and husband Tim; grandchildren, Stephen Marsh, Hannah Marsh, Kavin Hoke, Kenneth “Bucky” Bean and wife Kendall, Daniel Bean and wife Courtney, Titus Bean, and Angel O’dell; great grandchildren, Addison Bean, Raylee Bean, Briar Bean, Wyatt Bean, Noel Bean, and Cutter Bean; sister, Rita Grunden; numerous other loving family and friends.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
