Judy Carol Still, 81, of Shelbyville, Texas, passed away on January 15, 2026.
Born in Jacksonville, Texas, on December 3, 1944, she was the daughter of Mavis Forrest and Callie Marie (Foreman) Forrest. Judy was full of life and brought energy to every gathering, as she loved others telling stories and reminiscing. Family was everything to her, and she embraced life with enthusiasm. Her strong Christian faith guided her, and she was loved by all who knew her. Judy was known to her grandchildren as "MeMe" and held a special place in their hearts. She owned her own daycare, where her passion for children created a loving environment that left a legacy for generations. She found joy in her flower garden, shopping for the kids and creating memories that would last a lifetime. Judy will be remembered for her kindness, her innocent misspoken words, laughter, and her unwavering love for those she held dear. Her love extended beyond her family to her lifelong circle of friends, and the community of Still Waters that cherished her in return. Her warmth will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mavis Callie Forest; son, Gregory Still; grandchildren, Haleigh Wolford, Mackenzie Crump; brother-in-law, Ken Johnson; and nephew, Ken “Scooter” Johnson.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Harry Still; son, Kirk Still and wife Peggy; daughter, Stacey Crump and husband Michael; grandchildren, Preston Hauerland, Payton Hauerland and wife Braylee, and Saxton Crump; brother Denny Forrest and wife Sherri and their children, Denyne Forrest and Kym Forrest; nephew, Robert Johnson and wife Janie Beth and their son Jacob Johnson; sister-in-law, Gayle Johnson; numerous other loving family and friends.
