Joyce Victoria Burton, 84, of Orange, Texas, passed away on July 18, 2025, in Orange.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend John Fortenberry. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Orange.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Bessemer City, North Carolina, on September 7, 1940, she was the daughter of Miles A. Baldwin and Annie B. Lamb Baldwin. Known for her vibrant spirit and dedication to her family, Joyce leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. Joyce had a profound appreciation for the great outdoors. Her passions included a variety of activities including gardening, fishing, boating, and camping, where she found joy in nature's wonders. An avid gardener, Joyce nurtured not only her plants but also the hearts of those around her, always sharing the fruits of her labor. Her love for fishing and boating reflected her adventurous spirit. Beyond her outdoor hobbies, Joyce was a devoted caregiver, always prioritizing the well-being of her family and the small animals she took under her wing. Her nurturing nature was evident in everything she did, as she dedicated herself to caring for others with immense tenderness and compassion. Additionally, her interest in amateur photography allowed her to capture the beauty of moments, ensuring that her experiences and those of her loved ones would live on through her lens. She is preceded in death by her parents, Miles and Annie Baldwin; her husband, Willard “Bill” Burton, Sr.; and her brothers, Miles Baldwin, Jr., and Roger Baldwin

She is survived by her children, Mike Burton, Jr. and wife, Debbie, Ronnie Burton and wife, Meshia, Lisa Bourque and husband, Kim, and Troy Burton and wife, Bobbie; her sisters in law, Brucelle Baldwin and Peggy Baldwin; her in laws, T.W. Permenter and wife, Lyndia, Hal Burton and wife, Donna, and Wynnie Burton; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
