Jeremy Layne Doucett, a cherished son, brother, and friend, passed away on May 31, 2025, in Beaumont, Texas. Born February 20, 1978 in Sulphur, Louisiana, Jeremy’s life was filled with passion, creativity, and love for those around him.

As a self-employed contractor, Jeremy took pride in his work, exemplifying dedication and craftsmanship in every project he undertook. Beyond his professional endeavors, he was known for his deep-seated passion, particularly his love for cooking and sharing with others. He took immense pleasure in gardening, remodeling, and playing the piano, where his relaxing voice filled the hearts of many. His hobby of growing roses was not only a reflection of his nurturing spirit but also a testament to the beauty he cultivated in life. Those who knew him understood that to know Jeremy was to love him; he touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and warmth.

Jeremy will be lovingly remembered by his family, including his mother, Linda Faye Dousay, his father, Cody Layne Doucett and Tammy, siblings Michelle Doucett, Laura Stark, John Bult, Clayton Bates and Jesse, Dustin Doucett and Randi, and Travis Doucett and Tinan, uncles Roger Dousay, Dewayne and Stephanie Dousay, and Bobby Shreve. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who will carry his memory in their hearts.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paw Paw Jack and Gaynell Doucett, and Laura Schreve and Gervis Dousay.

To honor Jeremy's remarkable life, visitation will be held June 7, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Gospel Tabernacle, located at 7880 Washington Boulevard, Beaumont, TX, followed by a funeral service at the same venue June 7, 2025, commencing at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Creel Memoral Gardens on Camp Pearl Cemetery Rd, Bell-Reeves, LA at 2:00 PM.

In this time of remembrance, let us celebrate Jeremy's vibrant spirit, the joy he brought into our lives, and the countless memories shared. He leaves a void that will never be filled but will always be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Schreve.
