Iva Carole Davis, 64, of Orange, Texas went home to be with the Lord on 01/19/2026 and joyfully reunited with her parents in Heaven.
Carole was born in Orange, Texas on September 6, 1961, to Bubba and Iva Nell Davis. As a child Carole was a member of the Order of the Rainbow for Girls Bridge City Assembly #331. Carole was a 1979 graduate of Orangefield High School where she played basketball, ran track, played in the band, and fell in love with twirling. Carole started college at McNeese University and was part of the Cowboy Band as a twirler. She worked for Gulf State Utilities from 1980 until the Entergy buyout in 1993. Carole chose to attend Lamar State College in Orange for Nursing and graduated in 1995. She worked a wide variety of nursing jobs, and she also was a certified EMT. She was a dedicated and loyal healthcare worker who loved her patients.
Carole was a mother to Whitney and Marissa. She loved her girls more than life itself. She loved fishing, diving, jet skis, water skiing, boating, pretty much anything related to water. Carole was an avid boater and didn’t need anybody to help her launch a boat. She could do it herself! Carole loved watching the sea turtles release every year on her Mexico vacation. She also liked to sneak across the state line and play some penny slots! Carole’s energy and smile was contagious. She was always laughing and busy being the showboat of the party. When she walked in, you knew that Carole had arrived. Carole would act like she was going to be the shovel bearing leader of the gang, but she really didn’t have a mean bone in her body. Carole loved to dance. If there was music playing, she was on the dance floor. She would round up her buddies and find the nearest dance hall that was rocking. She loved to read and crochet in her down time.
Carole is preceded in death by her parents, Melbourne Davis, Iva Nell Davis, and her beloved pup child Mickey. She is survived by her daughters Whitney and spouse Jonathan Denham; daughter, Marissa and spouse Chris Peltier, and her beloved pup child Ellie Mae. Grandchildren, Evan Durmon, Olyve Denham, Isaac Peltier, and Dorothy Peltier.
