Irene Pachuca, 85, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 9, 2025, at home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 12, 2025, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange. Officiating will be Father Sinclair Oubre. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., Friday, September 12, 2025, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange, with a Rosary to begin at 10:15 a.m.
Born in Orange, Texas, on September 29, 1939, she was the daughter of Mike Pachuca Sr. and Nemecia (Arciva) Pachuca. She dedicated over 28 years of her life to the Orange County Clerk office, serving as Chief Deputy and making a lasting impact on her community. Irene was known for her love of music, particularly as a big Elvis fan. She cherished her family deeply and enjoyed spending time with her sisters, often serving as the main navigator on their trips together, despite never driving herself. Her interests included antiquing, where she collected Seraphim angels and pink Depression glass. Irene could spend the whole day shopping and not buy a single thing. Irene had a passion for decorating and loved attending concerts. She played a significant role in her church, being one of the original members of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She was actively involved in the Altar Society and the Young at Heart Ministry. She served as an Extraordinary Communion Minister and was a member of a bereavement team. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and she will be missed dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nemecia and Mike Pachuca Sr.
She is survived by her brother, Mike Pachuca, Jr., and wife Debbie; sisters, Delfina Pachuca and Mary McDuffie and husband Floyd; niece, Dr. Nancy Pachuca Diaz and husband Derrick; nephew, Michael Pachuca; special cousin, John Pachuca Jr., numerous other cousins, family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rudy Pachuca, Stevie Pachuca, Michael Pachuca, Robert Arciva, Raymond Bourgeois, and Derrick Diaz.
