Inez Runnels, 83, of Orange, died Sunday, April 29, 2007, at Baptist Hospital in Orange.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Milton Pool of First Assembly of God Church in Humble. Eulogies will be given by Eriic Harris and Liz Guess.
Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn in West Orange.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Runnels was born October 27, 1923, in O?Donnell, TX to Leon and Thelma Brown Harter.
She was the owner and operator of Runnels Tire Company in Orange.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Joe Runnels, Jr. and is survived by her husband C.R. ?Dick? Davis of North Carolina, daughters, Barbara Maddox and husband Don of Humble, Kay Harris and husband Joe Dan of Whitney; son Pete Runnels and wife Charmaine of Pinehurst, stepdaughter Janet Sadlon and husband Paul of North Carolina; grandchildren and their spouses, Liz and Barry Guess, Lance and Michelle Runnels, Lee and Holly Harris, Matt and Sandra Harris, Jason and Lori Runnels, Eriic and Jennifer Harris, Karen Runnels and Vicki Tubbeville; three step grandchildren, Tim Sadlon and wife Meta, Allen Sadlon and Stacy Boozer and husband Sam; fifteen great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons as honorary pallbearers.
