Gladys Bodenhamer Tuter
October 6, 1916 — June 16, 2007
Gladys Grandma Bodenhamer Tuter, 90, of Orange, left this world to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 16, 2007.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday , at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Chaplain Kevin Trinkle.
Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Gladys was born on October 6, 1916, to Jabez and Mae Bodenhamer, in Springfield, MO. She was a member of Little Cypress Baptist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandma, always putting her family first and herself last.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Bob V. Tuter; sisters, Minnie Walker, and Myrtle Matthews; and brothers, David Bodenhamer, Clovis
Bodenhamer, and GlennBodenhamer of Springfield, MO.
Left to miss the smile she always had for each of them are her children, Bobby and Edith Tuter, Ronald and Cynthia Tuter, Linda and Fred Jenkins, James and Jan Tuter, Pam and Harvill Strohm, and Debra and Ron Williams; twenty-three grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Brothers Fred Bodenhamer of Springfield, MO and Roy Bodenhamer of Hemphill.
Serving as pallbearers are Bobby Tuter, Ron Williams, John Tuter, Ron Tuter, Harvill Strohm, and James Tuter.
Honorary pallbearers are Fred Jenkins and Ronald Tuter.
The family would like to thank the Southeast Texas Hospice.
