Born in Orange, Texas, on December 7, 1936, she was the daughter of Lloyd Ellis and Fern Peet Ellis. Fay Jean was a jack of all trades and was handy with repairs on anything. When she was younger, she worked as a bank teller and later moved to a bus driver for Little Cypress Mauriceville Schools. She worked her way to the front office and was there for over 20 years. Fay Jean was very involved when her children were in school, especially in the Booster Club. When Fay Jean was not at school activities, she enjoyed helping others with anything they needed. She often loved cooking meals for the family and enjoyed when everyone was together. She always had words of wisdom to offer such as “let today take care of itself and worry about tomorrow when it gets here” and “mind over matter”. Fay Jean had a huge and caring heart and will be greatly missed.
