Eva Mae Guillory

Eva Mae Guillory, 80, of Mauriceville, Texas, passed away on December 19, 2022, at her home.

Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Mauriceville, Texas. Officiating will be Kevin Brown. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor, Texas.

Visitation will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday, December 26, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Crowville, Louisiana, on January 22, 1942, she was the daughter of Lemuel and Luretta (McDaniel) Bowden. Eva was a woman of strong faith and a member at First Baptist Church in Mauriceville. She loved spending time outside boating, camping, and fishing. Eva not only enjoyed cooking, but she loved going out to eat. One of her favorite past times was getting together with family and friends, including her two life-long friends, Mary and Snookie Trahan. She loved to watch game shows and visiting the casino to test her own luck. Eva was an amazing woman who will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by husband of almost 50 years, Chester Guillory; her parents, Lemuel and Luretta (McDaniel) Bowden; daughter, Donna Anderson; and grandson, Scott Anderson.

She is survived by her daughters, Dianne “Sissy” Smith of Orange, Texas, Tina Broussard and husband, Randy of Point Blank, Texas, and Patricia Lloyd and husband, James of Kirbyville, Texas; her son, Dalbert “Gene” Jannise and wife, Heather of Batson, Texas; her precious furbabies, Joey and Mac; her 15 grandchildren; her 15 great-grandchildren; and her one great-great-grandchild.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Anderson, Lane Anderson, Tommy Anderson, Chase Courtier, Dale Jannise, DJ Lloyd, Justin Smart, and Chris Smart. Honorary pallbearers are Eric Patton, Jonah Courtier, Dalton Finley, Christopher Broussard, Daniel Broussard, and Dylon Courtier.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice, Melissa and Victor Reynolds, as well as Carol Morgan and members of First Baptist Church in Mauriceville.
