We are devastated to announce that Emily Christine Jolet, 31, passed away unexpectedly on October 4, 2025, in Beaumont.
Born on November 12, 1993, she was the daughter of Doug Halfin and Brenda Moseley. Before all else, Emily was a devoted mother and wife. She took pride in taking care of her family, and she loved fiercely with her entire being. After that, there’s almost no where she would rather be than on the back of her husband’s bike, being his “backpack” on every run. She was his proud B*EAST Ol’ Lady. She was an undeniable presence to her friends and found family there. She was fearless, vivacious, and spunky. She lit up every room she entered. She was bold in every sense with her outgoing personality and bright red lips. You would know if someone had encountered “GrEmily” by the bright red kiss mark she would leave behind on every cheek she could manage. No matter what her circumstances, Emily always had her big bright smile on and made sure everyone around her had fun and was laughing.
Though we mourn her loss, we are comforted by knowing that she truly felt she was at the peak of her life and was undeniably the happiest she has ever been.
Left to be blessed by her memory are her soulmate & loving husband, Louis Jolet, Jr.; her father, Doug Halfin; her mother, Brenda Moseley & husband, Jerry; her grandmother, Dorothy Wedekind; the light of her life, her children, Spencer Sanford, Avery Jayde Sanford, Rchon Washington, Bella Jolet, and Brentlea Jolet; her siblings, Lynnsee Hunt & husband, Ethan; her brother Brant Halfin; her father-in-law, Louis Jolet, Sr. and wife Bonnie. Brother-in-law, Aaron Jolet and wife, Kayla, Sister-in-law Tiffany Strohmeyer and husband Justin; brother-in-law, Adam Davis, and numerous nieces and nephews; her aunt, Terri Halfin; her cousin, Randall Courville; and of course, her beloved Dachshunds, Doobie and Nola; along with too many friends and family to count.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Larry Wedekind, Billy Halfin, and Evelyn Halfin.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date when her beloved husband, Louis is released from the hospital as well.
