Dorothy Lee ?Dot? Maggard, 86, of Beaumont passed away Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
A Celebration of Life will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2007 at St. Andrew?s Presbyterian Church located at Gladys and 23rd Street in Beaumont with Dr. Harland Merriam officiating. A gathering of friends and family will be from 5:00 p.m. until service time on Thursday.
Mrs. Maggard was born June 17, 1921 in New York to Urban Harry and Tera Lee Wagner. Having lived in Beaumont for the past 52 years, she was a retired teacher and principal with B.I.S.D. working at several of the campuses. She was a resident at Collier Park for the last couple of years, making several friends who became more like family. She was full of life and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James E. Maggard and son, James E. Maggard, Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nancy Marchetti and husband Toni of Gilchrist, TX; granddaughters, Jamie Hornbuckle of Wimberly, TX, Ashley Hornbuckle of Beaumont and Katie Brading of Amarillo, TX; grandson, Stephen Maggard of Austin, TX; great-granddaughter, Jeiah Farmer-Hornbuckle; four step-grandchildren; seventeen step-great grandchildren, and two step-great great grandchildren.
