Dorothy Jean Morgan Horn
Funeral services for Dorothy Horn, 69, of Beaumont will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at the Woodland Baptist Church in Beaumont with Pastor Jim Sliger officiating. A private interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home.
Dorothy was born on July 31, 1937, in Camden, TX to the late Junius Taylor and Geraldine Abernathy Morgan and passed away on July 23, 2007, at Harbor Hospice on Major Drive in Beaumont.
Dorothy was a teacher in the BISD and was active in Sunday School and church. She loved cooking, canning vegetables, pickling, reading and spending time with her family..
She is survived by her husband, Robert Horn; daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Chris Mabry; granddaughter, Zoe Mabry; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Peggy Morgan of Lumberton, TX, Lawrence and Betty Morgan of Athens, TX. She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Horn, parents, and sister, Elizabeth Ann Morgan.
The family wishes to say a special ?thank you? to Harbor Hospice and their staff. Also, they would like to express their appreciation to Dede and Mary Glaude for their outstanding care of ?Miss Dorothy?.
