Born in Atlas, Oklahoma, on August 14, 1956, she was the daughter of George Donald Alexion, Sr. and Hazel Hatcher Alexion. In her leisure time, Cheryl found solace in the tranquil waters while swimming. She also cherished the simple pleasures in life, such as rides around town with Bill and indulging in pampering sessions that made her feel special. Cheryl also enjoyed playing computer games.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Hazel Alexion; and her daughter, Athena “Tina” Holden Hill.
