Born in Orange, Texas, on January 6, 1950, he was the son of Herman Theodore Conroy and Dorothy Fuller Conroy Jenkins. Chuck spent his professional life as a dedicated mechanic for Dupont Sabine River Works, where his commitment to his craft earned him the respect of his colleagues and friends. Beyond his career, Chuck was a man of varied interests and passions. He possessed a deep love for traveling, particularly to Mexico, where he enjoyed residing in Playa Del Carmen for a while. An avid skier, Chuck found joy in the crisp mountain air and the thrill of the slopes. His commitment to family was evident through his enthusiastic support for his children's sports, where he not only cheered from the sidelines but also took on the role of coach. Chuck was known for his dry sense of humor that brought laughter and warmth to all who knew him. His kindness was a hallmark of his character, often demonstrated through thoughtful gestures and a generous spirit. As a member of Bridge Point Fellowship, Chuck found a community that aligned with his values and beliefs. His dedication extended to the VFW Auxiliary 2775. Above all, Chuck cherished his role as a grandfather. His grandchildren were his world, and they enriched his life immeasurably. Affectionately known as "Paw Paw," "Poppy," and "Buddy," he shared countless moments of joy, laughter, and love with them, creating unforgettable memories that will endure through the generations. As we reflect on his journey, we celebrate a life well-lived and hold tight to the memories that will continue to bring smiles to our faces. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Dorothy Fuller Conroy Jenkins; his great-grandson, Remington Steele; and his parents-in-law, Alfred “Pappy Jack” and Doris Jackson.
