Beverly Jean Reeh, 92, of Orange, Texas, passed away on July 7, 2025, at Focused Care in Orange.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Chaplain Jody Heckathorn. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will begin prior to the service at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Port Neches, Texas, on January 19, 1933, she was the daughter of Marvin Hurst and Fannie Hurst. Beverly was a spirited and feisty woman who had a big presence in the lives of those who knew her. She was known for her straightforward nature, never hesitating to tell you what you needed to hear. Beverly had a fulfilling career as a Secretary and Clerk with West Orange Cove. She was a remarkable woman who valued family above all else, often cherishing the time spent with loved ones and was known as “Dede”. Among her favorite times of the year was Christmas, a holiday she adored the most. In addition to her family and career, Beverly had many hobbies and interests that brought her joy. She enjoyed cross stitching and crocheting, which allowed her to express her creativity. A fan of reading, she particularly enjoyed works by Danielle Steele. Beverly also loved watching Hallmark movies and spending time on the computer. One of Beverly's proudest accomplishments was owning a Christmas tree farm called "Ramac Tree Farm" in Orange during the 1980s. This venture was a true labor of love, showcasing her passion for the holiday season. Beverly will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, unwavering honesty, and love for her family and the holiday season. She leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Reeh; son-in-law, Dale Forse; grandsons, Michael Reeh and James Reeh; parents, Marvin and Fannie Hurst; and siblings.
She is survived by her sons, Wayne Reeh and wife Elaine, Gary Reeh; daughter, Connie Forse; grandchildren, Kristen Freeman and Keith McCurry and wife Amanda; great grandchildren, Bailey McCurry and fiancé Jacob Moore, Brandon McCurry, Scarlett McCurry, Stetson McCurry; great great granddaughter, Tulsa Moore; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Hurst, Keith McCurry, Jacob Moore, James Broom, Billy Moore, and Brandon McCurry.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Gentiva Hospice for the wonderful care you took of Beverly.
