Arnold “Lee” Lilley, Jr., 63, of Call, Texas, passed away on June 12, 2025, in Galveston.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held at a later date. Gathering details to be announced.
Born in Orange, Texas, on February 27, 1962, he was the son of Arnold Lee Lilley, Sr. “Tex” and Cora (Peet) Lilley. Lee was a skilled Operator at Print Pak in Orange, where he took great pride in his work. An avid outdoorsman, Lee found joy in doing anything that allowed him to be outside, rather it be fishing, hunting, camping, or boat riding. His favorite place to be was on the river. Beyond his love for the outdoors, Lee had a knack for fixing things, and was always willing to lend a hand. When he worked on something you could be sure it was done right, even down to him mowing his yard or cooking a steak to perfection. He was competitive from the word go. In his younger years, he played football, competed in rodeos and rode dirt bikes. He also enjoyed both playing in pool tournaments or just a game with friends. He loved to dance and played countless games of cards, and dominos. Though he was a collector of guns and knives, his greatest treasure in life was by far his family. Lee was as genuine as they come and admired for being true to himself no matter the crowd. If Lee was your friend, he was your friend for life. He was tough, but at the same time he was the guy that would give anyone the shirt off his back. He kept things simple and his most cherished moments were shared with those he loved. As we reflect on his life, and as we remember Lee, he will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his father, Arnold Lee Lilley Sr “Tex”; and his son, Gary Lilley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Mitzi Lilley; his mother, Cora Lilley; his daughter, Kelley Presley; his grandchildren, Madison Lilley, Breyton Lilley, and Landon Presley; his sister, Ginger Hogden and husband, Cody; his niece, Brooklyn Sampere and husband, Bryce; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
