Barbara Jean ?Young? Allen, 74, of Wildwood, died Sunday, June 3, 2007, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 7, 2007, at First United Methodist Church in Vinton, LA. Officiating will be Reverend Michael Osborne. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City and 12:00 ? 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Vinton prior to the service.
Mrs. Allen was born October 31, 1931, in Vinton, LA, to Meredith Donald and Hazel Hudson Young. She was a member of The Wildwood Red Hat Society.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Billy Frank Allen, sons, Monte Allen and wife Diana of Bridge City, Mark Allen of Lumberton, Troy Allen and wife Joyce of Beaumont and daughter Traci Allen of Beaumont; granddaughters, Michelle Laird and Alisha Allen, one great granddaughter, Kendra Laird and brother Melvin Young of Lake Charles, LA, nephews, Blake Young, Kevin Young and niece Rhonda Trahan.
