Willis Joseph Daville, 71, of Orange, passed away on September 29, 2021 in Beaumont.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a. m., Friday, October 15th, at Rustic Diamond Event Center in Vidor, Texas.
Born in Port Arthur, on August 7, 1950, he was the son of Edward Daville and Joyce (Lavergne) Daville. Willis was a man with a huge personality and an array of passions. In his lifetime, he was a racehorse jockey, a racehorse trainer, and an avid fisherman. He had a real love and respect for nature, as well. Most would say that Willis had a green thumb, which he showed off with his care and attention to his vegetable garden. He had a deep love for his family who he loved spending time with, especially his grandchildren that lovingly referred to him as “Papa Willis” or “PaPop”. Willis will be deeply missed by all those that held him close.
Willis was preceded in death by his father, Edward Daville; and his brother, Andrew Daville.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary Daville; His mother, Joyce Daville; Sons, Allen Mann and wife Jeannice of Mauriceville, Willis Daville of Orange, Keaghon Daville and wife Tiffany of Orangefield; Grandchildren, Destiny Mann, Triston Mann, Hailey Mann, Tanner Mann, Colby Kikendall, Slayde Daville, MacKenzie Zelesky, Sophie Daville, Mayce Daville, Steyle Spurlock, and MacKenzi Allen; Siblings, Burt Daville and wife Doraine, Romain Goldwire and husband Jerry, Darlene Brown and husband Dave, and Getrude Blanchard; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.
