Tommy Lynn Henry

Tommy Lynn Henry, 74, of Orange, passed away on December 25, 2020 in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Tommy Anthony with McDonald Memorial Baptist Church in West Orange. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home.

Born in Orange, Texas, on March 2, 1946, he was the son of Samuel Henry and Melvy (Teal) Paulk. Tommy proudly served in the United States Navy and went on to work and retire from the Papermill. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, VFW, and Disabled Veterans of America. Tommy served in the combat zone for 27 months as well as served aboard the USS Coral Sea in the Vietnam War. He was an outdoorsman and always stayed active with the things he enjoyed most, gardening, fishing, and camping. Tommy always said, “if it can’t be fixed with string or duct tape, it can’t be fixed”. He never missed a chance to spend time with his family and adored his grandchildren most of all. Tommy left an impact on everyone he met and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Henry and Melvy Paulk; and brother, George Henry.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jan Henry; children, Janna Henry Delaet and Sheldon Brown of Orangefield and Amanda Jureidini and husband Elias of Little Cypress; grandchildren, Landon, Logan, and Liam Delaet, E.J. and Jordan Jureidini; siblings, James Henry and wife Gina of Houston, Samuel Henry of Orange, and Dorothy Jean and husband Jimmy Runnels of Mauriceville; fur baby Bella; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Elias Jureidini, E.J. Jureidini, and Sheldon Brown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas.
