Thomas R. “Ricky” Boulet
Thomas R. “Ricky” Boulet, 59, of DeQuincy, Louisiana, formerly of Vidor, Texas, passed away on August 1, 2018, in DeQuincy.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend John Fortenberry of Calvary Baptist Church in Deweyville, Texas and Reverend Philip Reed, of Family Worship Center in Beaumont, Texas. Burial will follow the service at King Cemetery in Hartburg, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.

Born in Orange, Texas, on June 29, 1959, he was the son of Elwood O. “Preacher” Boulet and Emma Dale (Coulter) Nelms. Ricky was renowned for his participation in rodeos and was a specialist when it came to training horses. His passion in life was to help people and he was always there to give to those in need and help put on benefits and fundraisers. Ricky loved children and they had the same admiration for him. He loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elwood Boulet; step-father, Doug Nelms; grandparents, Nolan and Virgie Boulet and Cleo and Ima Coulter; and his step-sister, Felecia Johnson.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Judi Ruth Christian Boulet; mother, Emma Coulter Boulet Nelms; daughter, Calida Jo Dunnehoo and husband Josh; grandson, Max Dunnehoo; sisters, Rhonda Butler and husband Myron, Regina Peddy and husband Danny; step-brothers, Gary Nelms and wife Cindy and Cody Nelms and wife Cassie; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other loving family.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mahlon Butler, Cord Fling, Tom Boles, Ryan Andrews, Punk Andrews, Glenn Stephenson, Thomas Stephenson, and Logan Landry. Honorary pallbearers are Daryl Melancon, Ryland Dunnehoo, Kenneth Dorman, and Glenn Sanderson.
