Susie Ann James

Susie Ann James, 66, of Orange, passed away July 29, 2021, at her home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 3, at Calvary Baptist Church in Deweyville. Officiating will be Reverend John Fortenberry. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, on December 24, 1954, she was the daughter of Perry Samuel Seeney and Cora A. (Seymour) Seeney. Susie was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Deweyville. She loved her family and her grandchildren dearly. Susie left an impact on many lives and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billie Earl James, Sr.; parents, Perry and Cora Seeney; daughter, Anita Arreola; and siblings, Michael Seeney and Tammy Busby.

She is survived by her children, Tammie Clements and husband Larry of Charleston, South Carolina, Tonya Manuel of Orange, Mylissa Engman and husband Brian of China, Texas, Billie James, Jr. and wife Traci of Orange, Kathy McClanahan and husband Kelly of Moores Hill, Indiana, Corina Alonso and husband Luis of Orange, and Billie Cisneros and husband Gabriel of Mauriceville; siblings, Mary Brown of Vidor, Lydia Seeney of Orange, Terrie Conley of Austin, Virgil Seeney of Orange, Kathy Cummings of Orange, Tina Riley of Orange, Lisa Kovatch also of Orange, and Robert Seeney of Starks, Louisiana; 18 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; as well as Mary Hanks, Evelyn and Tommy Morris, and Amanda Sonnier who were all very special to Susie.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jon McClanahan, Alex Cisneros, David Burnham, Carlos Vasquez, Christian Moreno, and Junior Drake.
