Susan Foote, 67, of Orange, Texas, passed away on June 5, 2021, in Port Arthur, Texas.
Under Ms. Foote’s request there will be no services at this time.
Born in Fort Worth, Texas, on February 7, 1954, she was the daughter of John Pierce Hilliard and Mary Lou (Trueblood) Hilliard. Susan was a loving woman; devoted to her family and friends, she always has such a giving and caring heart for people and animals. She also was a dedicated member of the First United Methodist Church in Orange where she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Due to Susan’s love of maps, she loyally spent 24 years in the map department of the Orange County Appraisal District. Susan loved the simple things in life, admiring beautiful wildflowers and plants, collecting rocks and shells, or just relaxing with one of her favorite books. She also enjoyed listening and playing music, accumulating a very large collection of vinyl records throughout the years. She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Pierce Hilliard and Mary Lou (Trueblood) Hilliard.
She is survived by her son, John Michael Foote of Orange, TX; and her special friends who she considered family, Robin Boehm of Deweyville, TX, and Pat Wagner of Orange, TX.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be donated directly to a local no kill animal shelter.
The cremation is under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.
