Steven Michael McGill, Jr., 43, of Orange, passed away on May 18, 2021, in Orange.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Scott Hawk of Praise Church in Beaumont. Cremation will follow services.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Jackson, Mississippi, on July 1, 1977, he was the son of Steven Michael McGill, Sr. and Jacqueline (Daigle) Rich. Steven was a member of Praise Church in Beaumont. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, and enjoyed watching them every chance he got. Steven was known to many little ones who adored him as “Papa Teeve”. He loved to fish, spend time at the beach, sing karaoke, and grill. Steven enjoyed taking vacations with his family to Disney and Gulf Shores. He took great pride in his family and loved spending time with them. Every Christmas he looked forward to dressing up as Santa for his family. Steven will be deeply missed by all those who came to know and love him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Steven McGill, Sr. and Jacqueline Rich; and infant daughter, Kayleigh McGill.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen McGill; children, Mason McGill and Cheyenne Hammonds, Karley McGill, Alexis “LuLu” McGill and Ashlyn Bergeron, all of Nederland; Trevor Dunbar of Alaska, whom he considered his son; fur-babies, Sophie, Gracie and Milo; siblings, L.D. & Rhonda Chatagnier, Ron & Frannie Chatagnier, Misty Huckabay, and Kenneth & Hope McGill; brother-in-law, James Dunbar and Buffy; aunt, Vickie “Sweet Vick” & husband Tom Foreman; uncles, Tommy Dunbar and Dale Morris & wife Sandra; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Cody Elliot, Christian Broussard, Daniel Ward, Corey Allen, Jimmy Hebert, Robert Young, Tani Sanchez, Tommy Dunbar, James Dunbar and Brian Holmes.
