Stephen was born on November 13, 1968 in Port Arthur, Texas. He lived in Orange from the time of his birth until he graduated from Little Cypress Mauriceville in 1987 where he was recognized and awarded academically as well as for his musical talents in band and choir. He moved shortly after graduation and began his adventures in life... living and working in many places that included areas in and around Houston, Austin, Dallas, and Los Angeles.
Stephen lived his life to the fullest... loving and entertaining everyone in his path. He never met a stranger and had the incredible gift of making every person he spoke to feel that they were the most important person in the room... because to him... at that very moment... they were. His infectious smile, personality, wittiness and beautiful blue eyes will forever be imprinted on the hearts of all who love him.
He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his fur-babies, Nimrod, SugarFoot, Mimzy, Pawstin, Mercy, Felix, Princesa, Grumps & Fresca.
Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Dale Wallace as well as his maternal grandparents, A.F., Jr & Margie Burns and paternal grandparents, Buck & Fannye Wallace.
He is survived by his Husband, Marcos Olmeda of Galveston; his Mother, Janie (Wallace) Melton of Orange; his Sister, Joey Dale Dronett of Orange and her children, his nieces and nephew, Shelby Dale, Seth, Saylor and Claire. Those also left to cherish his memory are numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews of the Olmeda family. He is also survived by his biological father, Jerry Padgett.
The family requests in lieu of flowers/plants that donations be made to Claybar Funeral Home in Orange to assist with Stephen's funeral arrangements.
