Sherri Nini Holmes

Sherri Holmes, 60, of Orange, passed away on September 24, 2021, in Beaumont.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, October 1, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Deacon Payne.

Visitation will be at 5:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.

Born in Orange, Texas, on February 18, 1961, she was the daughter of Myrtelle Victor Nini, Jr. and Sammye Lee (Martin) Nini. Sherri was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and mother to her two fur babies Pebbles and Fruit Loops. She worked for West Orange Stark ISD for many years as a teachers assistant at Anderson Elementary. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and going to the beach. Sherri was a devout Christian attending St. Mary Catholic Church all throughout her life. She adored her family and truly loved spending time with her grandchildren, her sisters, and her loving husband. Sherri was a wonderful woman and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtelle Victor Nini, Jr. and Sammye Lee (Martin) Nini.

She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Brian Philip Holmes; daughter, Brittanye Hamerly and husband Dustin of Bridge City; grandchildren, Brok Justyce Willey and Reilye Brynn Willey; siblings, Margaret Richard and husband Kel of Orange, Vickye Hoffman and husband John of Rapid City, SD, and Trish Nini and Randy Duellette of Myrtle Beach, SC; nieces and nephews, Ticia, Cicilye, Victor, and Tiffanye
