Shannon Lee Johnson, 39, of Nederland, Texas, passed away on May 12, 2018, in Port Arthur, Texas.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Officiating the service will be Pastor Stephen Samuel, of Cathedral in the Pines Church in Beaumont, Texas.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, on September 13, 1978, he was the son of David T. Johnson and Veronica (Doguet) Chandler. Shannon worked as an Electrical Apprentice for MMR. He loved animals, driving fast, old movies, drones, and motorsports. Shannon enjoyed traveling and didn’t like staying in one spot for too long. He was unapologetically himself and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Johnson; step-father, Tony Phillips; grandfather, LB Doguet; and his cousin, Dustin Doguet.

Shannon is survived by his mother, Veronica Chandler and husband Ben, of Nederland; daughter, Kaylah Eline; grandmother, Patricia Doguet, of Mauriceville; step-siblings, Zachary Chandler and Abbie Lindsey and husband Travis, all of Nederland; cousins, Terell Doguet and wife Valerie and their children, Dustin and Mae, of Nederland, Tristan Doguet, of Groves, Casey Doguet, of Beaumont, Jordan Boren, of Bridge City, Chase Doguet, of Bridge City, Jeremy Reeves, of Orangefield, Heather Reeves, and Alex Doguet, of San Antonio; uncles, Lloyd Doguet, Gene Doguet and wife Tracey, Charles Doguet and wife Liz, and Brian Doguet; aunts, Genevieve Doguet, Jamie Rameriez, Becky Cude, and Molly Abshire and husband Larry; and his niece, Olivia.
