Russell Richard Dickerson, 86, of Orange, passed away on September 3, in Beaumont.

Born in Floyd County, Virginia, on March 15, 1935, he was the son of Albert Dickerson and Glady (Agnew) Dickerson. Russell lived an interesting and fully active life. Not only was he a self-employed Heavy Equipment Operator and served in the Navy; he loved fish, shrimp, deep sea fishing with his cousin Butch Myers, and just sitting in a boat while fishing with his son. Richard meant a lot to many people and will be deeply missed by those that held him close.

He is survived by his children, Russell Richard “Ricky” Dickerson, Jr., and Edith Reese and husband Ned; grandchildren, Janey Schwegel and husband Michael, Stacy Trammell, and Blaine O’Quinn; and great-grandchildren, Naomi Fells, Taya Fells, Tegan Schwegel, Aiden Taylor, Jaxon Taylor, and Sophia Trammell.
