Rhett Butaud

Rhett Burton Butaud, 68, of Bridge City, Texas, went to join his loving wife of over 40 years Janet Butaud on February 26, 2022 in Beaumont.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on July 12,1953, he was the son of Harold J. Butaud and Betty Ruth ( Harrell) Butaud. Rhett was a devoted and faithful Christian man who loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a longtime welder and in his spare time he loved to play pool and was an avid player, Rhett was also determined to become a great golfer. He left an impact on many lives and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janet Butaud; parents, Harold and Betty Ruth Butaud; grandparents, Eunice Romero and Melvin J. Butaud; sister, Yancie Flores; and nephews, Michael R. Preddy, Jr., Chad eric McDonald, and Christopher Scott Brown.

He is survived by his children, Candis San Angelo and husband Chris and Michael Shane Henry; sister, Toya Preddy; nieces and nephews, Terra Preddy, Adam, and Ashley; also John, Sarah, and Sadie; as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.
