Quinetta Darlean Smith, 73, of Orange, passed away on July 10, 2020, at home.
Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 13, at Bridge City United Pentecostal Church. Officiating will be Pastor Murray Ray. A graveside service will be held at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 14.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bridge City United Pentecostal Church.
Born in Natchitoches, Louisiana, on September 4, 1946, she was the daughter of Quinton Orsborn and Darlean (Thornton) Orsborn. Quinetta was a retired mail clerk for USPS. She devoted her whole life to Christ and was a faithful member of Bridge City United Pentecostal Church for 50 years. In her life Quinetta was a choir director, Sunday school teacher, and mentor. She had the voice of an angel who touched everyone’s heart. Since the age of six, when she won her first talent show she has been singing her heart out and was the lead of the choir at eleven. Her voice was mesmerizing, and she spoke the word of the lord best through her music. Quinetta was also an intricate part of starting the Children’s Ministry and Puppet Ministry. She touched so many hearts and will leave a legacy for generations to come.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Richard Smith; and parents, Quinton and Darlean Orsborn.
She is survived by her sons, Quinton Smith, Eric Smith and wife Sonia, Chad Smith and husband Roy Dequeant; grandchildren, Johnathon Smith and wife Bailey, Preston Phillips, Conner Smith, Seth Smith, Olivia Smith, and Korbyn “Butter” Smith; siblings, Brenda Hammond, Veda Serrin and husband Randall, Lucy Ivie and husband Danny, Dovie Tomplait and husband Dale; and a host of other family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers are Lynn Meredith, Cameron Meredith, Johnathon Smith, Jeff Gibbs, Conner Smith, and Devin Henagan.
