Phillip Brian Everett

October 9, 1957 — November 19, 2021

Phillip Brian Everett (lovingly known by his grandchildren as BoBo) 64, of Bridge City, entered into the most beautiful gardens ever created on November 19, 2021, when he went home to be with the one who created them, his Saviour, Jesus Christ. Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 3rd at 11:00 a.m., at First Assembly of God in Bridge City.

If you knew Phillip, then you loved him because he would make you feel like you were his longtime friend. He taught himself to play a variety of instruments and enjoyed entertaining family and playing them with his friends. His love for plants and animals was amazing. Phillip was always thrilled seeing the swallowtail kites come around and waited eagerly for the chimney swifts and hummingbirds to arrive every year. He loved creating his own rainforest and growing his own food. Each time new sprouts would emerge through the dirt, it was as if it was the first time he ever grew anything. As much a he loved those things, he loved being on the water equally as much.

Phillip was an old fashioned gentleman who loved a simple life in a small hometown. His love of history never grew dull. Phillip would often read 2-3 books at the same time and retain everything he read. He never backed away from hard work and had a strong work ethic, which was exemplified in his 41 years of service at the Steel Mill.

Phil is reunited with his father, Louis Everett, who preceded him in his passing.

He is survived by his soul-mate and the love of his life, Sherry. Each year he spent with her was a year of laughter, endless love, and so much joy. Sherry was the only woman he ever had eyes for, the type of love that was unending, for better or for worse.

His one and only, the pride of his life, daughter, Kelly Rhodes and her husband Scoot.

Grandchildren, Jaylin Hock and Nathan Rhodes.

Mother, Ima Everett of New Braunfels.

Sister, Barbara Jones of New Braunfels.

Brother, Michael Everett and wife Debbie of San Antonio.

WooWoo and Pops (Donna and Thomas Childress) whom he adored deeply.

And his life long friend of 56 years, Craig Reed.
A host of nieces and nephews, who he dearly loved.

A special thank you goes to SETX Hospice, for the love and care towards Phillip and our family during this time.

We request that in lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to the CJD Foundation.
