Norman Gene Guillot, Jr., 48, of Orange, was called home to be with the Lord on December 15, 2019, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Gene was a faithful follower of Christ. He was a very involved member of his church and he lived to serve others.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 21, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Robert “Bud” Edwards and Pastor Donna Wells. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday before the service, at Claybar Funeral Home.
He was born in Orange, Texas, on November 16, 1971. Gene loved NASCAR especially Dale Ernhardt, Sr. He was a former member of the Civil Air Patrol for 2 years and also was a part of the Texas State Guard as a Sargent for 2 years. Gene was a big country music fan and loved his church dearly. His cats were very special to him and he never met a stranger. Gene was a very loving and kind person. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his step mother, Ramona Guillot; uncles, Oswald Guillot, Jr. and Red Bellair; and aunt, Ruby Guillot; grandparents, Osvald Guillot, Sr. and Eda Mae Guillot.
He is survived by his parents, Norman Guillot Sr. of Orange; and birth mother, Jackie Pierson of Bridge Port, Ohio; uncles and aunts, Norbert Guillot of Orange, Gertrude Bellair of Orange, Jo Ann Posey and husband Darrell of Mauriceville, Lou Guillot of Orange, Mary Moore and husband John of Orange, Jimmy Guillot and wife Linda of Orange; special cousin and very close friend, Sheri Bellaire; siblings, Jared Guillot and wife of Bridge Port, Ohio, and Ambre Guillot of Orange; nephews, Jakob Jackson and Kolby Jackson; and numerous cousins, friends, and other loving family.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Guillot, Corky Guillot, A.J. Scales, Donald Posey, Andrew Maronge, and Waylon Cates. Honorary pallbearer is John Moore.
