Nancy Lou Perot Gleason

Nancy Lou Perot Gleason, 79, of Orange, passed away on November 14, 2020 at her home.

A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 17, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor Michael Procella of First Baptist Church in West Orange.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Bossier City, Louisiana, on September 19, 1941, she was the daughter of Roy Bryan Perot and Jean (Martin) Perot. Nancy retired from working as an accounting clerk for the City of Port Arthur in 2003. In her younger years she participated in many activities including, singing in the church choir, playing the clarinet in her high school band, playing the piano, as well as being a cheerleader. Nancy was a devoted Christian and long-time member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Port Neches and was a former member of Daughters of the King. She was a very talented woman and enjoyed gardening, writing, cooking, sewing, and most of all oil painting. When Nancy was a child her uncle brought back a gingerbread house recipe from Germany and every year, she had a tradition of making one for Christmas. Nancy was a loving, devoted sister, mother, and grandmother who left an impact on many lives. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Jean Perot.

She is survived by her children, Julie Alford and husband Robert of Orange and Tina Gonzales and husband David of Port Neches; grandchildren, Christa Wofford and husband Randy of Port Neches and Kerri Whitman and husband Jordan of Port Neches; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Wofford, Michael Wofford, Callie Whitman, and Camilla Whitman; brother, Bryan Martin Perot and wife Donna of Natchitoches, Louisiana; niece, Alycia Albin and husband Brian; and great niece and nephew, Elizabeth and Jack Albin of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
