Myrtis Ella Waguespack, 79, of Orange, passed away on June 1, 2020, in Beaumont, Texas.
Born in Pasadena, Texas, on November 1, 1940, she was the daughter of George L. Wilkinson and Flora Orene (Elam) Wilkinson. Myrtis was a strong woman of faith. She was an excellent seamstress, perfectionist, and crocheted the most beautiful blankets and ornaments. Myrtis recently finished and presented a beautiful homemade blanket to her newest great grandchild. Myrtis was very proud of this tradition of handywork she felt was passed to her from her paternal grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with her very special friends at Optimist Village and her beloved family. Myrtis loved her family dearly and left an imprint on everyone she met. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George L. Wilkinson and Flora O. (Elam) Wilkinson; love of her life, James E. Waguespack; and infant brother.
She is survived by her children, Kristi Shelton and husband Kevin, Jeffrey Waguespack and wife Michaelene, Kari Waguespack, and Vicci Waguespack; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, George L Wilkinson and wife Rose and Elizabeth Laughlin and husband Jerry.
