Born in Orange, Texas, on June 12, 1949, she was the daughter of Hershel D. Dorman and Lois Green Dorman.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Vassar.
She is survived by her children, Richard Vassar, Jr. and wife Shawn, of Vinton, LA, Teena McElveen and husband Mark, of Moss Bluff, LA, and Kristi Tyree and husband Tom, of Carlyss, LA; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.
